Transhield Underground Services, Inc. is comprised of drilling professionals with an extensive
background in environmental drilling. Our employees have experience working at
RCRA, Superfund, LUST, Voluntary Clan-up, and Phase II ESA sites, including: retail
gasoline stations, dry cleaners, petrochemical refineries and terminals, landfills, rail yards, pipeline release sites, undeveloped
property and various other urban and rural locations.
Our firm has the capability of providing the following services:
hollow-stem augering, mud/water rotary drilling, rock coring, Geoprobe, vacuum excavation, and chemical injection services. Our equipment fleet includes standard truck-mounted equipment and special ATV rubber-track
combo rigs, which have the capabilities to perform all of the above drilling techniques. Additionally, Transhield Underground Services, Inc. can provide limited access and
low clearance work with specialty equipment. Finally, test pit and excavating
services, either with vacuum excavation equipment or a backhoe, can be preformed on projects when requested.
We provide all of our field employees with annual medical monitoring, OSHA 40-hour Hazardous Site Worker
training and the annual 8-hour refresher course as well as First Aid, CPR and other construction safety training. We strongly emphasize safe work practices and require our employees to hold a valid commercial driver’s
license (CDL) in order to drive our vehicles. Additionally, our firm meets the
requirements of the federal Small Business Administration as a veteran-owned small business.
